June 6, 2004 Ronald Reagan, 1911 - 2004Ronald Reagan was a great president. I was frankly amazed by his performance and it was only by reading Reagan, In His Own Hand that I understood how well he prepared himself for the presidency. His sense of humor, specially in a crisis, was absolutely amazing. His self assurance allowed him to be a hands off manager leaving the day to day task of running the government to the Cabinet. This, in turn, allowed him to be the leader based on his vision for America. I hope history does him justice as one of the greatest American presidents. Denny Schlesinger Caracas - Venezuela |
